duringの後にingは来ない

と私は高校英語で教わりました(英語に詳しいわけではありませんが、以下調べた事を書き連ねます)。ところが、最近、論文検索してみると、during runningやduring walkingなどの表現が見られます。whileじゃない？とツッコミたくなりますが、もしかしたら正しいのかもしれないので、某言語学習アプリで聞きました。

まず質問しました。

I learned that gerund cant put immediately after the "during" . But, so many research papers in sports express "during running", "during walking" and so on. Are these expressions gramatically correct?

It's true. To talk about something you do during the act of running of walking you can use "when I run/ when running" for the same idea

when I run always wear my blue running shoes.

when running you should always stay hydrated.

つまりは来ないようですね。同じアメリカご出身の方でも意見が割れますね...。

i think its used often enough that people understand and read it as intended. But there are many cases of common grammatical errors like that becoming the norm.

During normally required a time to make sense, and using a ç doesn't accurately convey time.

"during the running of the second race" makes sense, but for your title while running is best.

一般的には使われるようになって来ているが、正確には間違いである。という解釈ですかね。

You could also use "while running/walking"

alsoってことはwhileでもduringでもいいってことか？

結論:duringの後にing系は来ない方が良い（文法的に間違いであるが、最近は使われていることもある）
